busy busy day

ezzie00 and I went couch shopping yesterday. We spent the morning in Southcenter, mostly unsuccessful, finding only one couch we both liked and it had yucky fabric choices. Had lunch at Red Robin and watched the first period of the Wings-Avalanche game (Wings won it 5-3). Then we went to Lynnwood to hit some more stores. Ezzie found one he liked, but I didn't like any of the fabric choices and it looked really "cheap" to me. Went to another store, where we found a couch I liked and one he liked, and then had to decide on which one was better. Both had dual recliners, but one was bigger with more fabric choices, while the other had a console thingy between the recliners. Ezzie really liked the console because it gave him another armrest, but I really liked the other couch because it had a chaise lounge on one end. We dithered for a while, and then he decided to get the one I liked. Thank you honey! :) It's huge, soft and comfy, and will be in dark purple suedy fabric. It'll be here in 6-8 weeks.

While we were out I also picked up a Lane cedar chest as the gift from my grandma, and that'll be delivered next week. We then went home, where Ezzie tried out his new PS2 controller and determined that he hated it. We both left again, me to pick up a friend and him to exchange the controller, and he wound up buying DDR and another pad as well. Wheeee! Hey dr4b, where can I get something more than first mix for the PS2?

Finally last night we went to see Star Wars: Episode II, in which Lucas came close to redeeming himself for Episode I. Plot wasn't bad, although the whole Anakin-Amidala thing was a little too teen-angst for my taste, but much of Obi-wan's stuff made up for that. Jango Fett was excellent, as was his son, Boba. Large scale lightsaber fights rule, and Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber!!! Finally, Yoda did indeed get into a light saber fight, and that was cool too. A few things about the movie could've been more subtle, but that's with having seen 1 and 4-6 already. I give it a B rating.

Oh, and the Matrix Reloaded trailer and the Men in Black II trailer are attached to the Star Wars movie too, which was awesome. :)

hmm. so which DDR stuff for PS do you have so far?
(sadly there isn't anything for PS2 unless you have a Japanese PS2...)

Found you my Arstechnica interest... X_X
Sam Jackson said he wanted a purple lightsaber so he could spot himself while in the middle of a battlefield...

But how could you like that...bland acting from that Anikin fellow? He was trying TOO hard and Natalie Portman wasn't trying enough...pathetic acting...

I wish Lucas had followed what the books wrote about...it would have been much better...

Heh. I want a purple lightsaber now, that was fantastic!

So my Ars nick is probably obvious (Alegria), but what's yours? :)
