the city by the bay

Friday afternoon I came home from work and ezzie00 and I watched the first period of Game 7 of the West Conference Finals between the Red Wings and the Avalanche. Within 4 minutes, the score was 2-0 Wings. By the end of the first period, the score was 4-0 Wings. Apparently they went on to win it 7-0. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT!!

After the first period was over we went to SeaTac so we could fly to San Jose for the weekend. We tried to find a TV showing the Wings game, but Bar 1 said "we're watching the Mariners game, go try Bar 2" and Bar 2 said "We are watching the Sonics game, go away." Fuckers. Flight was delayed, found sarahnade and Timmy at SJC, went to a diner for dinner, then back to their place to sleep.

Saturday morning we went with Sarah and Timmy down to San Francisco, where Tim wandered around Ghiradelli Square, the Cannery, and Pier 39 with us while Sarah was in meetings for the AIDS Ride. Timmy left for registration, and we continued to wander and have lunch. I found out that a store I visited when I was in SF at age 7 still exists, but there was a street fair thing in the way and we couldn't get to it by car.

Later that afternoon Sarah, Ezzie, and me went to ef2p and cortneyofeden's reception at Ethan's parent's house in Los Gatos. Their house is cool, and we met tons of people, including aarganzarf and fuzzyturtle and a couple other people too. Good food, yummy cake, fun company, and soaking in a hot tub later. Yay.

This morning Lauren picked us up from the Frantz's house and we went and visited the wondrous place that is Fry's. I wanted to spend a lot of money, but we didn't - just picked up some DVDs instead (Dogma, Chasing Amy, Usual Suspects). Then on to lunch at the Los Gatos Diner, where the milkshakes were great but the cook forgot about my burger, and then to the airport to fly back to SeaTac. And now we're home.
